Damage
We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave.

Pets Policy
We welcome guide dogs, however other pets are not allowed inside the hotel.

Smoking Policy
The Old Bank Hotel is 100% smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the hotel. Should it be brought to our attention smoking has taken place, a cleaning fee of £200 will be assessed.

Prices & Rates
Room rates shown on our website are per room, per night and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate.

Check-in & Check-out
Guaranteed check-in time is any time from 3pm, and check-out is at 11am.

Late Departures
If you would like to stay in your room after 11am then late departures may be arranged at the hotels discretion, dependent upon room availability. Please contact reception your earliest convenience should you wish to arrange this.

Valid Credit Cards Only
All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card at time of booking.  The Old Bank Hotel reserves the right to either charge or pre-authorize the provided credit cards up to the full reservation amount at point of reservation.  Non-valid credit cards will result in automatic cancellation of the reservation.

The Old Bank Hotel also reserves the right to collect, through pre-authorization, at least £200 per room as deposit for incidentals or damage.

What Is Pre-Authorization?
To adhere to proper card acceptance and validation norms defined by credit card associations, all hotels are required to pre-authorize – or separately, charge – all provided credit cards.  A pre-authorization will place the pre-authorized amount in a holding-state and temporarily reduce one’s credit card limit, but it is NOT a transaction charge and will not be reflected in one’s credit card statement.  Depending of one’s credit card bank’s set up, the pre-authorized amount will drop off typically after 7 days.

For assurance, Guests whose credit cards have been pre-authorized are encouraged to check with their respective credit card bank to:
– confirm the above understanding of pre-authorization;
– confirm that a pre-authorization – and NOT a charge – has been performed;
– affirm the pre-authorized amount and when it will drop off as scheduled.

Important Points Regarding Pre-Authorisation:
-We only accept credit cards for pre-authorisation.
-Should your stay be pre-paid, or is being settled by  third party, we swipe your credit card at check in to ensure you have enough funds to settle any additional charges and we hold this amount throughout your stay. The amount we check for will depend on the length of your stay, however the member of staff checking you in will explain this process clearly should you wish.
-No money is taken from your credit card but it will show as a ‘Pending Transaction’.
-The authorisation of your card will last the length of your stay and it will take up to 7 days after your departure to be released.
-You can use a different card to pay your final bill.

Pre Payment

Full pre- payment on a credit or debit card is required at the time of booking. Corporate account reservations may be guaranteed with a credit or debit card and will not be charged at the time of booking.

If you intend to pay for someone’s stay and you will not be present at the point of check-in to show your payment card, for the protection of the card holder a completed Third Party Payment Form is required. This can be obtained by calling our reservations team on 0207 550 1000 or emailing reservations@thehox.com

Rooms cannot be transferred without prior notice. We are only able to check in guests who have booked and paid for the room online or via our reservations team.

Your Reservation

Upon completion of your booking, you will receive an email containing your confirmation number. Please bring this confirmation number with you when you check in together with the payment card that you paid with as proof of identification.

Should a room have been booked in your name but you do not plan to stay, please advise us of the name of the occupant as soon as possible.

Changes

Subject to availability, changes to the travel dates of a pre-paid booking can be made by submitting our on-line form, plus a change fee of £15 and any rate difference.

If you are less than one day from your arrival date you can change your booking directly with the hotel until 16:00 4pm on the day of arrival by calling our reservations team on 020 7550 1000. After that time no changes can be made.

Cancellations and Non-arrivals

All pre-paid bookings are not refundable. Unfortunately, cancelling a booking, not arriving for a booked stay or the hotel’s denial of check-in to a person not accompanied by the person named in the booking will not result in a refund.

Reservations made with a corporate account must be guaranteed with a credit or debit card at time of booking. Once confirmed your reservation may be cancelled as per your company agreement. Cancellation after your company agreement or failing to arrive for your stay will result in full prepayment for the first night’s stay being will charged.

 

Room Types

The majority of bedrooms have double beds. We have a limited number of twin rooms and a few accessible rooms.
